The Internet
I put one of those tracking thingys on my blog. The number of hits is horribly disappointing -- so much for my 15 minutes of fame via the World Wide Web's exposure (ah, kidding!).
What I have enjoyed about the tracking is the out-of-the-blue hits from the most unexpected places. Today someone from Iran came visiting my blog -- hillariously, the person's first google hit was my blog as they searched for info on saffron. The searcher used, it seems, a string of search words that matched exactly a phrase I used in a blog on saffron.
Hi Iran.

Oh, and in case you've been in denial, summer is over. The trees know.

I hate to break it to you but some of visitors are non-humnas as search engines or bots randomly visit the site. :-( But it's cool to know where your visitors are from.
They are already turning yellow? wow. :-) Beautiful.
In the words of a "total ignoramus", how do you do the tracking thingy Heipel?
About the summer being over.......say it ain't so, Joe.
Actually, I love the fall. It's so pretty and cool, sweater weather,
my favorite time of the year.Too bad it leads into the boots, scarf, hat, heavy coat, time of the year. :)
I miss the autumn. The changing of the colours of the leaves in Ontario can be breathtaking, and Vancouver really never gets that. I haven't sensed any of that here in London, either. Nice picture! Happy Autumn to you.
I'd be curious to know where my blog hits come from. It was neat to see someone from London happen upon my blog - I thought you were the only person reading it, Steve! (and thank you, by the way...)
Oh, and on another note, the picture of He Who is Here with the bull statue nearly made me pee my pants. Buy him a steak, for chrissakes!
Toodleoo,
Mike

Heip, Will ye come on a drive in the north woods with me laddie? Sorry gang, I hate summer, it's far too overrated. Give me fall, winter, spring... any day, although sadly it seems my wish will come true sooner than it should after watching "The Passionate Eye" the other day.
Drive? this w/end?
Tish! Damn, I'm about a year late with a phone call ain't I. Sheesh, I suck at being a human.
