Epiphany

Ah, no. I have not had an epiphany. Yesterday was THE Epiphany, January 6 -- marking the three Wise Men visiting the baby Jesus in the manger.
It was a friend's 50th birthday (Happy birthday Kevin!). A lovely event of taste bud dancing food, fine music from a trio (dang, they were good -- sorry I can't remember their name) and good company. Venue was an art gallery, stuck in the light-industrial maze of Etobicoke, of all places.
I was given the delightful task of raising a toast to the birthday, ah, boy -- here the toast giving is captured in a photo. I am (oddly?) hesitant to post friends' photos on my blog, thus my own mug posted here.
The other reason to post this photo is the tie, which was a gift brought me by Vash after her visit to Italy earlier this winter. (She also bitterly bitches about never getting mentioned here...).

Ah, yes. Thanks, Mark. The Trio is remarkably good.
As I'm scrolling down reading your post, I'm finding it hard to concentrate because all I'm thinking about is your picture with "the tie".
When finally I get to the end and you explain it. Thanks.:)
PS Tie duly noted.
Oh dear. I have a similar tie. I wore it once with a silk John Bailey shirt and pair of Hörst pants, and lizard skin Prada. I think I know the look you WERE aiming for ;-) Alex (London...whheee!!)
