More Barkley (part I 'cause Blogger's a bitch with Mac)

A few photographs, mainly detail shots of larger paintings, from Daniel Barkley's show of new works at the O'Connor Gallery in Toronto. I should have taken a few full painting shots, but made a rash lens choice. Anyway, this is meant to be a teaser to make you go see the works for yourself, 'cause photographs of paintings very closely approach being artistic profanity compared to standing live before the painting.

he paints lovely naked people. heipel, take me to the gallery.
Joe, yes Barkley paints only nudes, but if what impressed itself upon you as you considered theses images was that nudity, perhaps I should take you to therapy first, before the gallery :)
Hi Steven, It is Egon. I have been to the openings at Hart House and O'Connor. I came especially from NJ to see Daniel's new works. They are great. You absolutely right. I have seen you at the Hart House, you have had small conversation with my blond friend, Jola. You are really great advocate of Daniel's work. I love his Doubting Thomas and Praying... You should absolutely buy as many pieces as you can. He is really a great painter! I am now back to NJ, trying to comprehent what I have seen. It was a great experience, kind of Katharsis. I will surely go back to see his future shows in Canada. So, see you there again one day. Best, Jan Egon, JKK FINE ARTS
Mr. Egon, hello.
I had heard you had travelled from NJ to see the shows. Thanks for the note. I've found your gallery's website and will take some time to go through your artists' portfolios. I will have to visit JKK some day.
Hi Steve, I am not Mr. Egon, just Egon, for friends. You always welcomed to stop by. Best wishes, Egon
PS I like your stories. You should think about a book.
Hi Steven, It was an article in XTRA! magazine in Toronto (February 1st) on Daniel Barkley and his shows. I liked artist's comments on his work. See his new works for Narcissus exhibit in my gallery, Best, Egon
